The DynaVox EyeMax System is an eye tracking system that allows users to access the features of the DynaVox Vmax+ communication device. The EyeMax System can be used by people of all ages and cognitive abilities with direct vision in one or both eyes. It provides freedom for limited head movement, eliminating the need to manually focus the system. The EyeMax System can be used by individuals with Cerebral Palsy, ALS, spinal cord injuries and many other genetic and degenerative conditions, as well as those: seeking a faster access method than is available with scanning,needing customization options, wearing contact lenses or glasses, using both eyes or a single eye, functioning with a degree of controlled head movement.

For full control over the system, the user should have the ability to look up, down, left and right. For those with limited vertical or horizontal movement, special pages can be made to allow access. Requires adequate vision to view the screen and to gaze on all areas of the 12.1-inch Vmax+ display, located approximately 24 inches in front of the user’s eyes. The user must have the ability to focus on one spot for a brief period of time.

The Series 5 software provides an eye-tracking selection method, which enables users to make selections on the Vmax+ screen by directing the on-screen cursor (or highlight) with the EyeMax. Objects can be selected by blinking, dwelling on them for specified amounts of time or by using an external switch.

The Vmax+ augmentative communication device features such as on-screen keyboards, spell-check, character, word and phrase prediction, smart text entry, and smart zoom.

DynaVox MT4 is an augmentative communication device with dynamic display. This AAC device replaced the portable DynaMyte voice output communication device.

DynaVox Series V (5) device is a comprehensive augmentative communication device with dynamic display that features both synthesized and digitized speech. The device is based upon a XP operating system and also features computer access and email as well as infrared environmental controls. A wide range of voice options are available. Along with Series 5 software, the device includes InterAACT, which is a complete language system suitable for all ages and cognitive levels. Includes WordPower. WordPower for Series 5 is a word-based communication application program combining communication and computer access tools for augmented communicators.
